West Liberty and Edinboro hooked up in a high scoring afair in the second round of the NCAA Division II football playoffs on Saturday, with the Hilltoppers ending the Fighting Scots season.
WLU scored on 10 of its first 11 possessions to open a 70-28 lead ofer EUP, then held off late rally to capture an 84-63 victory. The Hilltoppers (11-1) will take on California (Pa.) next week in the Super Region 1 championship game.
Edinboro ends its season at 9-4.
