Former superstar Jannetty to wrestle at fair

MEADVILLE — Former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Marty Jannetty, one half of the legendary tag team The Rockers, will appear in a tag team match at this year’s Crawford County Fair.

The free wrestling show, which also includes a never-before-attempted manure match, is at noon Aug. 18 in the Youth Show Arena.

Jannetty will also appear at a meet-and-greet event Aug. 17 starting at 9 p.m. at Boonies Sports Bar, 122 Diamond St., Titusville.

Jannetty, a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and two-time tag team champion, earned international acclaim with Shawn Michaels as the tag team The Rockers, known for its flashy, innovative and energetic style.

At the fair show, Jannetty will team up with Titusville’s own “Luscious” Rocky Reynolds to take on Madmar Wrestling Federation Champion “Omega” Aaron Draven and “Simply Sexy” Shawn Blaze.

Another highlight of the fair show is the first-ever manure match with vampire Valik taking on Jay Ice. The loser takes a ride around in the ring in a wheelbarrow full of you-know-what.

This is the 11th consecutive year Madmar Entertainment has staged wrestling matches at the fair. Although there is an admission fee to get into the fairgrounds, there is no additional admission fee to see the wrestling.
