FINDLEY TOWNSHIP, Mercer County — A 30-year-old woman reportedly was involved in a high-speed chase from police Saturday on Interstate 79.
Pennsylvania State Police said Mignon Hall of Munhall was clocked going 85 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone at about 11 a.m. in Findley Township in Mercer County. Police attempted to pull Hall over, but they said she fled, accelerating her 2009 Mercury Milan to speeds between 100 and 115 miles per hour.
Four marked state police vehicles gave chase. The pursuit lasted approximately 30 miles, ending in Vernon Township, just past the Meadville exit. The chase came to an end when Hall’s car struck a cement slab in the construction zone at the Route 322 overpass.
Hall reportedly entered a number of construction zones during the chase. The police report said she was “engaging in illegal passing in the closed construction lane to avoid being apprehended.”
The report added that she “forced numerous vehicles out of her way, passed on the shoulder and struck numerous construction signs and barrels.”
According to police, Hall was charged with numerous violations and is currently being held in the Crawford County jail, Saegertown.
