MEADVILLE —
Today is the City of Meadville’s last day of conducting business in its longtime home, the City Building on Water Street.
The physical move into the new City Hall on Diamond Park directly opposite Crawford County Courthouse begins Wednesday; doors will open for municipal business Monday.
Police dispatch will remain open at the Water Street location until noon Thursday, at which point communications will be switched over and the Meadville Police Department will begin full operations from the new police station on the ground floor of the new City Hall.
The last day of business for the court of Meadville Area Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm in its current location in the Meadville City Building on Water Street is Nov. 1, when the office window will close at noon. Chisholm’s courtroom and offices will reopen the morning of Nov. 7 in their new location on the ground floor of the new City Hall on Diamond Park.
Both the police department and district court will be entered from the Center Street side of the building.
