About 500 without electricity across county this morning

Thousands lost power last night

MEADVILLE — About 500 homes in businesses are without electrical power across Crawford County this morning.

First Energy reports about 41 outages.

Northwestern Rural Electric Cooperative has about 475.

At the height of the storm last night, Northwestern reported about 4,000 outages. Northwestern reports that additional outages are expected among its and other utilities’ customers as the storm continues to move through the area.

Amy W. Fuller, Northwestern’s manager of communications, warns “everyone needs to stay away from downed power lines. Report damage to the utility, and keep children and pets away from downed power lines or broken poles.”
