Woman holds up gas station, store

STONEBORO — Pennsylvania State Police at Mercer are looking for information on the woman who used a handgun to hold up a Stoneboro gas station and convenience store Saturday night.

The woman used a stainless steel semi-automatic pistol with wooden grips in committing the 6 p.m. robbery at Dye’s Service, 2295 Mercer Road, according to state police. There were no injuries in the incident and the woman fled on foot, getting away with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The suspect is described by police as a large-framed woman, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. She was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and light colored denim jeans at the time of the robbery, according to police.

Persons with information about the holdup are asked to contact state police at Mercer at (724) 662-6162.
