VERNON TOWNSHIP —
Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the operator of a vehicle that went off the road, crossed a traffic island, ran over a crosswalk sign and then fled the scene.
The incident took place in the westbound lanes of Route 322 (also known as Smock Highway) at the entrance to the Giant Eagle supermarket between 9 and 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
Anyone witnessing or having information about this incident is urged to the Vernon Township police at 333-6309.
