An airplane flying out of Venango County has reportedly crashed down at the Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex after it lost power to its engine.

Crawford County emergency radio reports around 9:50 a.m. indicated the pilot of the aircraft crashed into the field off Rogers Ferry Road. The pilot of the aircraft was reportedly out of the plane moments later as area emergency crews were en route to the scene.

The pilot reported to a Venango Count-based air traffic control unit that the aircraft had lost power just before the crash, radio reports indicated.

It wasn’t immediately clear if or to what extent the pilot may have been injured, but radio reports indicated an ambulance was en route to Meadville Medical Center within minutes after the crews arrived.

Further details weren’t immediately available.

The City of Meadville may use taxpayer funds to renovate Diamond Park’s historic Shippen Fountain with the intention of repaying the money later with donations. Your reaction:

That’s fine. It’s a worthy project and I am confident enough donations will be raised.
No way! The city has plenty of other pressing needs that have gone unaddressed. The fountain should be renovated only after enough donations have been collected.
