Wrestling to return to fair this year

MEADVILLE — Professional wrestling will return to the 2013 Crawford County Fair.

The Crawford County Fair Board Thursday approved a contract with Madmar Entertainment to provide a professional wrestling show at a cost of $4,000.

The show is scheduled Aug. 17 at noon at the Youth Show Arena. Admission to the show is free.

Two other contracts also were approved by the fair board at its meeting Thursday — one the printing of promotional materials, and the other for restroom maintenance during the fair.

The Meadville Tribune was awarded contract for printing of 65,000 2013 fair brochures and 65,000 restaurant placements at a cost of $2,000.

Portlock Maintenance Systems of Easton was awarded a contract for restroom maintenance at no cost to the fair board. The company relies on tips from restroom patrons.
