A scam involving calls allegedly made from Canada is making the rounds in Crawford County.
A Linesville woman is the second area resident to report receiving a call from either Canadian law enforcers or a distant relative asking that money be sent to bail the relative out of a Canadian jail. In at least one case, the local resident wired several thousands of dollars before realizing that the call was a scam.
