Flood watches and warnings lifted


All flood watches and warnings for Crawford County have been lifted by the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

French Creek at Meadville crested at 13.37 feet at 3:30 Sunday morning; flood stage is at 14 feet.

Numerous other creeks in the county are now at or over their banks as warm temperatures, snow melt and addition precipitation occurs. Residents along creeks and low-lying areas could continue to see minor to moderate flooding the remainder of today and into the work week.

The following roads are reported to be closed due to flooding:

- Vernon Township — South Watson Road between Snake Road and Ballie Road.

- West Mead Township — Dickson Road near the fairgrounds between Calvin Street and Leslie Road. Wilson Chute between US 322 and Mercer Pike.

- Hayfield Township — Porky Street between State Route 198 and Battles Road.

- Greenwood/Union Township — State Route 3021 (Snake/Geneva Road) between Johnson Road and Main Street.

- Cambridge/Union Township — Miller Station Road between U.S. Routes 6 & 19 and Miller Hill.

- City of Meadville — Spring Street between Cussewago Road and Lincoln Street.

- Fairfield Township — Marsh Road between State Highway 285 and the Union Township line. Stopp Road from Peterson Road to the Union Township line.
