VERNON TOWNSHIP —
A second Meadville-area location for ERIEBANK is set to open Tuesday morning on Route 322 in Vernon Township.
The bank opens its express office at the Crawford Landing shopping center, 16039 Conneaut Lake Road, Suite 108.
“It has everything a regular office has, but without a drive-through,” said Steve Cappellino, senior vice president of ERIEBANK in Meadville.
The new Vernon Township office will have a staff of four.
The bank sought a second site to complement its downtown Meadville location at 885 Park Ave. after consumer and business customers began asking about another location, Cappellino said.
The new office will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. A ribbon-cutting for the new office is set for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
ERIEBANK has had a full-service office in downtown Meadville since May 2010 and has had a presence in the city since the fall of 2008. The downtown office has a staff of eight, Cappellino said.
The bank may be looking at other areas of Crawford County in the future, he said.
“We’re always judging traffic and where our customer base is,” Cappellino said.
Keith Gushard can be reached at 724-6370 or by email at kgushard@meadvilletribune.com.
As part of the opening of its Vernon Township location, ERIEBANK will contribute funds to three local charities. Persons may stop in at the new office at 16039 Conneaut Lake Road from Sept. 10 through 29, complete an entry form and select Hospice of Crawford County, Salvation Army or United Way of Western Crawford County. Each vote gives one dollar to the local charity of the person’s choice and persons may vote once a day.
