When choosing our favorite pictures from any given year, many factors come into our decisions. How good is the image itself? Did we cature something special? Was it something that moved us somehow? Made us laugh? Made us reflect? Often we make images and don't know how good they are until much later on. This past year we took a moment to look back on the 20 years Jim Stefanucci has worked at the paper.
Jim Stefanucci: 20 years
During that time he has witnessed tragedy, joy and the mundane. Since first publishing the slideshow on our Web site and article in the paper several people have come forward with thanks for Jim and stories to tell about certain photographs he took. What might have been an important, or favorite of Jim's became even more so knowing how it touched someone else.
We're not sure if any of the pictures from 2008 will fall into this category or not, only time will tell, but we feel its important to share these images as a look back on a year that encompassed all that we mentioned above, tragedy, joy, mundane....
