CONNEAUT LAKE — Sherry D. Urey, 67, of Conneaut Lake, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born June 8, 1945, in Meadville, a daughter of Harold and Virginia Calvin Monnie. She married Jack Urey on July 19, 1969, and he survives.

Sherry was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School, Plattsburgh, N.Y. She was employed by the Conneaut Lake Joint Municipal Authority and had previously worked as an assistant for 11 years to Dr. James Martin, Conneaut Lake, Freeauf Pharmacy, Conneaut Lake, as a secretary at John Rugala Motors, Andover, Ohio, and as a bookkeeper for Kosturick Construction Company, Conneaut Lake.

Sherry was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake where she served as an elder. She attended the Lakeland Area Senior Center, Linesville, and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband, Jack, of 43 years, include a son, Jack Urey Jr. and his wife, Becca, of Harmony; a brother, Gary Monnie and his wife, Nancy, of Conneaut Lake; three sisters-in-law, Doris Morrell of Greenville, Virginia Debraski of Conneaut Lake and Ida Abbott of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake, where the funeral and committal service will follow at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Mark Frailey, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
