MEADVILLE — David A. DeVore, 51, of Meadville, passed on to live for eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012.

He was born in Meadville on March 9, 1961, a son of Edward A. DeVore Sr. and the late Suzanne Faloon DeVore.

He was a 1979 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School and a 1984 graduate of Edinboro University.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith.

David is survived by a son, Kirk, of Meadville; a brother, Edward A. DeVore Jr. of Philipsburg; his father, Edward A. DeVore Sr. and his companion and friend, Nancy Bowman, both of Meadville; an uncle, Jim DeVore of Meadville; two aunts, Delores and Anita DeVore, both of Meadville; his very close friend, companion, and the love of his life David often said, Ann Elizabeth of New Jersey, and her two daughters, Serena and Oksana, and three sons Darian, Eli and Reza, whom he all loved very much.

David had served as associate pastor of Bible Baptist Church for several years. He taught adult Sunday school class and the youth group for many years. He enjoyed the fellowship and friendship of his church family, and his personal relationship with his Lord and Savior whom he served and loved.

David also had an everlasting friendship with Pastor Phillip Thomas of Bible Baptist Church, with whom he shared the preaching of the nursing home ministry, and was very close to his brother, Ed Jr., and his father.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.

There will be additional calling hours on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 11166 Livermore Road, Meadville. The funeral and committal service will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Phillip P. Thomas of Bible Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations may be made in David’s memory to Bible Baptist Church, 11166 Livermore Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
