NORTH EAST —
Homer L. Siverling, 91, of North East, formerly of Saegertown, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Barnabas Court at Bevillier Village, North East.
He was born July 2, 1921, in Meadville, a son of Fred Siverling and Burnice Mumau Siverling. He married Mary Shesky on June 26, 1948, and she survives
He was a graduate of Meadville High School. At one time he had been a school bus driver for Saegertown Schools; and worked in maintenance at American Brakeshoe (Abex). He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He loved to fish and vacation with his family. He loved spending time with family and visiting with friends.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Siverling of North East; three daughters, Marsha Furno and her husband, John, of Saegertown, Patty Martin and her husband, Ron, of Pittsburgh, and Susie Ramsdell and her husband, Jerry, of North East; a son, Michael Siverling and his wife, Carole, of Clymer, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Massie of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenneth Siverling.
Calling hours are today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Ron Martin, son-in-law to Homer.
Interment will be in St. Brigid’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brevillier Village, 5416 E. Lake Road, Erie, Pa. 16511.
