SCIOTA — Jeffrey L. Peterson, 49, of Sciota died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in the VNA/Hospice House, East Stroudsburg.

Born in Meadville, he was the son of Norma Jean (Rouch) Peterson of Saegertown and the late Donald LeRoy Peterson.

He was the fiancé of Karen S. Bonser.

He was a resident of the Sciota area for the past 15 years and prior to that he lived in the Erie. Jeff was employed as a realtor associate for the CRE Realty Company in Brodheadsville for the past few years and prior to that he owned and operated Integra Home Improvements of Sciota for many years.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to his fiancé, Karen, and mother, Norma Jean, he is survived by two sons, Michael J. Petersen of Arcadia, Calif., and Christopher Petersen of Stroudsburg; four sisters, Donna Sefert and her husband, Terry, Cheryl Henry and her husband, Larry, Miriam Southworth and Debra Brown and her husband, Randy; two brothers, Darwin Petersen and his wife, Nancy, and Stephen Petersen and his wife, Sherry, all of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at noon at the Zion United Church of Christ, 14 S. 8th. St., Stroudsburg, with Pastor David Berryman officiating.

Burial will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation service is in charge of the arrangements.
