MEADVILLE —
Dorothy Elaine Dale, formerly of Cochranton, passed away peacefully in the company of family members Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Juniper Village in Meadville.
She was born Dorothy Elaine Wilson on Dec. 19, 1930, to Wilbur and Sally Wilson in Port Allegheny. She married William L. Dale on Aug. 4, 1948, and was married to Bill until his death in January 2007.
Wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy was a caregiver until she needed the same. Most of all she loved the company of her family, but she also liked to paint and play her piano. She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, boating and camping. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; sister, Patricia; and brother, William.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Dale and his wife, Cynthia, of Blooming Valley, and William Dale of Novi, Mich.; five grandchildren, Taraka, Aryan, Dhira, Thomas and Matthew Dale; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Davis and Aedan Brown.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton. A memorial service will be on Saturday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. David Brumagin officiating.
Following cremation, interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
