WARREN, Ohio — Michael A. (Mike) Zuzolo, 83, of Warren, Ohio, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland, Ohio. He went to the Lord peacefully with his family after a courageous battle with failing health.

Born July 5, 1929, in Meadville, he was the son of Mattio and Pompellia Zuzolo. He married Mary Louise. His wife and parents preceded him in death.

Mike came to Warren in 1967 and retired from GM Assembly Plant on the assembly line and maintenance department after 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, St. James Church. Mike enjoyed wood carving, gardening, bingo, traveling to casinos, and animals. His great love was his children, grandchildren and his Italian traditions, especially Christmas Eve dinner. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Theresa J. Deluca of Vienna, Ohio, and Michael F. Zuzolo of Minnesota; a grandchild, Michelle Marie Marchand of Indianapolis; two stepchildren, Jeffrey Giggone and his wife, Debbie, and Dennis Giggone and his wife, Joellen; six stepgrandchildren; a sister, Jeanette Roberts and her husband, Jack, of Marietta, Ga.; and his previous wife, Nancy J. Bednarczyk of Cortland, Ohio.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mathew Zuzolo; two sisters, Carmella Rossi and Elviro Lotitto; and his stepmother, Vincenzia Zuzolo.

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, St. James Church, 2532 Burton St. SE, Warren, with the Rev. Christopher Cicero as celebrant, with full military honors at the church.

Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery, Meadville.
