PITTSBURGH — Ari B. Beedle, 42, of Baden, passed away peacefully following a long battle with brain cancer, Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh, surrounded by family and friends who loved him very much.

He was born Aug. 21, 1970 in Anamosa, Iowa, a son of Lila J. Klippel Beedle and Kenneth Beedle.

He married Nina Kalin Nov. 1, 1997.

Ari was a 1988 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School, a 1992 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in education and a 1999 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business with a Master’s in Business Administration.

He was employed by the University of Pittsburgh as a project manager from 2000 until early 2012.

Ari was a great husband, father and friend. His positive outlook on life was inspiring to all.

Survivors include his wife Nina D. Beedle; his parents, Lila J. Beedle and Kenneth Beedle; two daughters, Elise C. Beedle and Lauren C. Davis; a grandson, Richard M. Noyes; and a brother, Scott Beedle and his wife, Kerry.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where the funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. John Brown officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neuro-oncology, The Medical Health Sciences Foundation, Attn: Samuel McCrimmon, University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, 3600 Forbes Ave. at Meyran, Suite 8084, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15213 or Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 310 Fisk St., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15201.
