CONNEAUTVILLE — Edgar (Dusty) Thomas Miller Jr., 88, of 1897 Route 198, Conneautville, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012, at his residence.

Edgar was born on Feb. 10, 1924, in New Alexandria, a son of the late Edgar Thomas Miller Sr. and Eugenia Eidemiller Miller. He was married to Joan Patricia Avey Miller, who survives.

He was a self-employed dairy farmer, former employee of Buckeye Aluminum and a school bus driver.

Edgar was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church of Linesville. He enjoyed woodworking, making toy tractors and wagons for the grandchildren, and being on the farm. He was noted for his excellent wine making and fine banjo picking.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Mindy Audrey Rankin (Greg) of Conneautville, Jock Thomas (Marie) of Payne, Ohio, and Christine Eugenia Miller (Chad Conley) of Conneautville; seven grandchildren, Connor, Steve, Shawn, Amanda, Brittany (Andy), Sierra and Damian; one great-grandchild, Aidan, and another on the way; three sisters, Peggy Brown (Sheridan) of Jamestown, N.Y., Helena Lamb of Springboro, and Irene Lawrence (Dale) of Conneautville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Miller, two brothers, Phillip Miller and Robert Miller; and two sisters, Elvira Steele and Stella Wheeler.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home, with Father Dennis Veltri of St. Philip’s Church officiating.

Interment will be in St. Philip’s Cemetery.
