VENANGO — Albert E. Tucci, 77, passed away at his home, 21697 S. Trolley Drive, Venango, on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, following a lengthy illness. Most of his life, Albert lived in the Venango area, but for the last 12 years, he had lived in Florida.

Born Jan. 10, 1935, in Crossingville, Crawford County, Albert was a son of the late Joseph Tucci and Josephine Bernosky Tucci.

Albert was a veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force. For more than 36 years, Albert was a long-distance truck driver and in those years was accident-free for more than 4 million miles. Albert, in his time off from driving, enjoyed the game of golf.

Surviving Albert are four children, Steven Tucci and his wife, Kathleen, of Atmore, Ala., Beth Tucci-Butler and her family of Pittsburgh, Susan Medina and her husband, Fernando, from Dallas, Texas, and Michael Tucci and his wife, Kimberly, from Venango; five siblings, Dorothy Ferry of Saegertown, Joseph Richard Tucci and his wife, Peggy, of Venango, Frances Tapper and her husband, Paul, of Cambridge Springs, Teresa Shoemaker of Greensboro, N.C., and Caroline Brown and her husband, Roger, of Saegertown. There are also several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews surviving.

Friends may call at Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. No other funeral services are being planned.

Interment will be in Venango Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to a charity of one’s choice. To send condolences, please visit vanmatrefuneralhome.com.
