FRANKLIN —
Ralph I. Hasson, 91, of Franklin, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
Born July 4, 1921, in Franklin, he was a son of the late Harry and Alma Louise Wood Hasson.
Ralph was a 1939 graduate of Franklin High School. He worked in the warehouse at CPT for 39 years. Ralph was very proud of the eight and one-half years he worked at the Venango County Courthouse as crier.
He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Franklin and also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Ralph was also a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club of Franklin and Myrtle Lodge 316 Free and Accepted Masons.
On Oct. 3, 1958, he married the former Betty J. McIntire, who preceded him in death Oct. 24, 2009.
Surviving are three cousins, Curtis Wood and his wife, Norma, of Franklin, Mary Wood Sherman of California, and Judy Gherke of Portland, Ore.; and a brother-in-law, John McIntire of Franklin.
Ralph was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Huff Chapel Inc., 312 W. Park St., Franklin. A Masonic service will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. today at Huff Chapel Inc. by Myrtle Lodge 316 Free and Accepted Masons.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Little, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
