MEADVILLE —
Bernice M. Eberhardt, 88, formerly of Hickory Street, Meadville, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
Born in Meadville on Jan. 24, 1924, she was a daughter of Bernard and Agnes Brunot McFetridge. She married Garnet E. Eberhardt Sept. 25, 1943. He passed away Sept. 9, 2005.
She graduated from St. Brigid Elementary School, and from Meadville High School in 1942. She was employed at Talon for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary for many years, and a member of St. Brigid Church and the St. Brigid Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed golfing in the Wednesday Evening Couples League, playing cards, sewing and being with her family.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Eberhardt and friend, Debby, of Allison Park; her daughter, Barbara Haskins and her husband, Dick, of Saegertown; three granddaughters, Michele Marin and husband, Joe, of Washington D.C., Lauren Warner and husband, Ben, of Owings Mills, Md., and Allison Marshall and husband, Virgil, of Gibsonia; and a sister, Clare Hall of Grand Rapids, Mich.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert McFetridge and his wife, Marie; a sister, Helen Smith; and a brother-in-law, Bernard Hall.
Calling hours will be at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. The scripture prayer service will be at 5:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery. The family would like memorials to St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, Pa. 16335.
