PIERPONT, Ohio — Gregory L. Michalske, age 56, of Pierpont, Ohio, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his home.

He was born March 10, 1956, in Madison, Ohio, a son of Donald and Dorothy May Michalske.

A long-time resident of Pierpont, Greg was employed by Kraftmaid in Orwell, Ohio, for the past six years. He was formerly employed by Metal Sales Co. in Jefferson, Ohio, Wolfe Hardware and Channellock in Meadville. He was a 1974 graduate of Linesville High School.

Greg was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Andover, Ohio. His hobbies included camping, hunting, fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson, and he loved to tell jokes. Greg enjoyed taking his mother every Sunday to church and spending the afternoons with her watching movies. He also loved his dogs, Roscoe and Timber.

Greg is survived by his mother, Dorothy Michalske of Andover; sister, Donna (Derwin) Stockton of Meadville; sister, Jeannette (Darrell) Hansen of Vale, Ore.; brother, Gary (Dei) Michalske of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; brother, Jeff (Sue) Michalske of Andover; sister, Anita Petrus of Painesville, Ohio; sister, Rose (Christopher) Lewis of Andover; several nieces and nephews; and the Cherry Valley Wolf Pack.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 S. Main St., Andover, with Father Marc Stockton, Greg’s nephew, as celebrant.

Cremation will follow services.
