HARTSTOWN —
Deborah Joyce Ewig, 54, of Hartstown, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville.
She was born July 19, 1957, in Monroe, Mich., the daughter of Elmer E. Gedelian and Joyce L. Kliem. On May 1, 1982, she married Jeffrey H. Ewig, who survives.
She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School, Warren, Ohio. She was employed by Perkins Family Restaurant in Vernon Township, Conneaut Lake Park and Quality Inn in Meadville.
She attended the Barton Road United Brethren Church, Meadville. She was a member of Station 3 Fire Station.
She enjoyed reading, going clothes shopping, traveling, and family gatherings in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Ohio. She loved her animals, especially her cats.
Survivors include her parents, Elmer E. and Joyce L. Gedelian; her husband, Jeffrey H. Ewig of Hartstown; four brothers, Thomas Gedelian and wife Anita of Akron, Ohio, Brian Gedelian and wife Mary of Huntsville, Texas, Jeffrey Gedelian and wife Karen of Oil City, and Joel Gedelian of Meadville; her cat, Spike; a very close aunt and uncle, Robert (Arlene) Kuckuck and family in Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, David (Mary) Ewig; her maternal grandparents, Leon (Geneva) Kliem; and her paternal grandparents, Hovsap (Julia) Gedelian.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake. The funeral is Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Milford of Country Chapel of Kennard officiating.
Interment will be in Rocky Glenn Cemetery.
