MEADVILLE — Ralph (Trey) David Muckinhaupt, III, 13, of Meadville, died Friday, June 29, 2012, as the result of an accident.

He was born Oct. 21, 1998, in Meadville, a son of Sara Bigusiak Hamilton and Ralph Muckinhaupt Jr.

Trey was a student at Maplewood Junior-Senior High School, having recently completed seventh grade. He loved fishing and bowling, played football, enjoyed four-wheeling, drawing, playing video games, being a big brother, working with his grandpa Dave at his business, riding horses, and especially being with family and friends. A class clown, Trey always had a smile on his face.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sara and Michael Hamilton of Meadville; his father, Ralph Muckinhaupt Jr. of Meadville; two brothers, Logan Haylett and Blake Hamilton, both at home; a sister, Emma Hamilton, at home; maternal grandfather, David Bigusiak and his wife, Irene, of Cochranton; maternal grandmother, Jeanne Smith and her husband, Robert, of Meadville; maternal great-grandmother, Zelda Bigusiak of Meadville; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Muckinhaupt of Meadville; stepgrandparents, Gene and Dolores Hamilton of Saegertown; an aunt, Maryanne Bigusiak of Meadville; an uncle, David Muckinhaupt of Meadville; a stepuncle, Ryan Smith of Chicora; and numerous cousins.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell L. Greenawalt, pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pennsylvania Game Commission (for hunter safety education), 2001 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg, Pa. 17110-9797; or the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
