CONNEAUT LAKE —
A. Dale Santner, 81, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Rolling Fields.
He was born May 30, 1931, in Harrison City, a son of Edward Santner and Lois Whiteman Santner. He married Arlene Myers on June 27, 1959, and she survives.
Dale was a graduate of Meadville High School and Edinboro University. He was employed by Meadville Junior High School and Intermediate Unit No. 5 of Edinboro. He was also a deputy waterways patrolman.
He was a founding member of Lake Lutheran Church.
He was a member of Erie Zem Zem Shrine, Crawford County Shrine Club, Ducks Unlimited life sponsor and past Pennsylvania state chairman, Pymatuning Lakeland Association, Conneaut Lake Sportmen’s Club, Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Department Station 3 and Conneaut Lake VFD Station 5; Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 408, Meadville; Mound Royal Arch Chapter No. 212, Greenville; Sharon Council No. 48, Greenville; and Mount Olivet Commandery No. 30, Erie.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Arlene Santner of Conneaut Lake; two brothers, Jon Santner and his wife, Ann, of Meadville, and Lynn Santner and his wife, Marcia, of Freedom, N.H.; two sisters-in-law, June Deitz, and Alma Warren and her husband, George, all of Linesville; brother-in-law, Curtis Myers of Conneaut, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Conneaut Lake, with Pastor Brian Riddle of Lake Lutheran Church officiating.
Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
