CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS —
Larry E. Colvin, 51, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home, 21829 State Highway 86, Cambridge Springs, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012.
Born in Meadville on Aug. 16, 1961, Larry was a son of the late Drexel S. and Elouise Siverling Colvin. He lived all of his life in Cambridge Springs.
After graduating from Cambridge Springs High School in 1979, he began working at Shorts Red and White Grocery. Beginning in 1987 until the present he was a press operator for Lord Manufacturing in Cambridge Springs.
Larry was a social member of Venango Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 169. He enjoyed yard work and had a passion for cooking, NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys.
His survivors include a daughter, Amanda Mae Colvin and her fiancé, Keith Edward Zielen, of Pittsburgh; his companion, Virginia Rae Henry and her son, Cody; a sister, Shirley Lilly and her husband, Alton, of Saegertown; two brothers, Dale Colvin and his wife, Ann, of Waterford, and Ron (Mort) Colvin and his wife, Tori, of Cambridge Springs; a sister-in-law, Sharon Colvin of Cambridge Springs; and many nieces and nephews.
In April of 2010, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Colvin.
Friends may call at Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 335 Venango Ave., Cambridge Springs, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be at the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. James Callender of First Church of God of Cambridge Springs officiating.
Interment will be in Venango Cemetery.
