ESPYVILLE — Mary Alice Thomas, 58, of 9709 George St., Espyville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Meadville on Dec. 5, 1954, a daughter of the late Homer Plyler and Pearl Vogt Plyler. She married Raymond H. Thomas on Jan. 13, 1973, and he survives.

Mary worked at Conneaut Lake Park, Toteline and Meadville Medical Center.

She was a member of Greenville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed all types of crafts, sewing and ceramics; she was a great cook who enjoyed and loved her family and (especially) the grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond, of 39 years, of Espyville; daughter, Heather Himes of Espyville; sons, Sean Thomas of Springboro and Jason Thomas of Linesville; granddaughter, Rebecca Himes; grandson, Jason Thomas Jr.; and brother, Jack Plyler of Geneva, Ohio.

She was preceded by her parents; and a sister, Paulette.

Friends may call on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St. Conneautville.

Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Pastor David Cox officiating.

Interment will be in Beaver Center Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family.
