MEADVILLE —
Harry Gouck, 80, of Meadville, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, following a period of declining health.
Born on April 17, 1932, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Harry and Emily Gouck. He married Margaret Jean Stafford Bauer on Dec. 16, 2006, and she survives.
He enlisted on Dec. 28, 1950, in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War until his discharge on Dec. 30, 1953.
Returning from the war, he was a self-employed locksmith, truck driver and also worked on the railroad.
He was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing, camping and collecting all types of eagle figurines and memorabilia.
He was a member of the Meadville Eagles Club, Cochranton Fire Department Station 4 and the AARP.
Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Harry, Brad and Bernie Gouck; stepchildren, Kim Legnosky and his wife, Debbie, of Cochranton, Kathy Garin of Franklin, Mike (Cricket) Legnosky of Meadville, Donnie Bauer and his wife, Sonja, of Cochranton, Dee Dee Beatty and her husband, Chuck, of Cochranton and David Bauer and his wife, Nicole, of Meadville; stepgrandchildren, Crystal, Danielle, Jennifer, Susan, Cody, Brandon, Joan, Rachel, Justin and Alyssa; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a brother, Al Bradley and his wife, Marie; two sisters, Alice Frascella and Dottie Laciano; and a sister-in-law, LaVonne Gouck.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Marge; and a brother, Robert.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 p.m. at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton.
A memorial service is today at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marshall Lille of the Church of the Nazarene, Springboro, officiating.
The family asks memorials be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
