COCHRANTON —
Jane Cramer Scott, 88, formerly of Cochranton and also Juniper Village in Meadville, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community following a brief illness.
Born on Aug. 9, 1924, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of Charles M. and Kathryn M. Hoffer Cramer. She married Manus C. Scott on June 8, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1996.
She was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and also attended Robert Morris University. From 1969 until 1985 she was an executive assistant at Child’s Store Fixtures in Pittsburgh.
Moving to Cochranton, she became involved in Cochranton Community Church, the Cochranton Women’s Club, the Cochranton Library Board of Trustees and also was involved in several bridge card clubs. She also enjoyed bowling, quilting and enjoying French Creek.
Survivors include a son, Manus C. Scott; a brother, Charles M. Cramer Jr. of Hemet, Calif.; two grandchildren, Jessica S. Ovesney and Christopher M. Scott; two great-grandchildren, Venessa and Peter Ovesney; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Scott.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cochranton Community Church, with the Rev. Steve Clulow of the church officiating.
Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, is in charge of arrangements.
