CONNEAUTVILLE —
Geraldine (Gerry) Kotcella, 76, of 11243 State Highway 198, Conneautville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in California, Pa., July 5, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph N. Woody and Elizabeth Metzner Woody. She married Andrew Kotcella Sr. on Oct. 10, 1965, and he survives.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Conneautville; Conneautville American Legion 615 Auxiliary; Pymatuning Sportsman Club; Edinboro/McKean Veterans of Foreign Wars; and Albion Sportsman Club. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, raising a garden and socializing with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew J. Kotcella Sr. of Conneautville; children, Mrs. John (Cynthia) Sonafelt and son, Ian, of Ebensberg; Andrew Kotcella Jr. and wife, Agnes, and daughters, Angie Rainey and Ashley Kotcella, of Redstone Township; Mrs. Jay (Michelle) Wronek and daughter, Trinity, of Dublin, Ga.; and Mrs. Thomas (Mary Beth) Buchanan and daughter, Jennifer, of Fox Chapel; four great-grandchildren; brother, Michael J. Woody and wife, Mary E., of Lapeer, Mich.; sister, Joan Avondo of Charleroi; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
