MURFREESBORO, Tenn. —
Don Paffrath, 81, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.
He was a native of Ford City, Pa., and a long-time resident of Conneaut Lake.
He was the son of the late John Paffrath and Mary Retzer Paffrath. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joy Paffrath, and his brother, Jack Paffrath.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark and Jackie Paffrath of Bakersville, N.C., and Dr. Jeffrey and Susan Paffrath of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Preston (Amanda) Paffrath, Emily (Zach) Hyatte, Collin Paffrath and Lauren Paffrath; and one great-grandchild, Colton Paffrath.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church of Murfreesboro and was a retired health and safety technician with PPG Industries. He was a volunteer fireman for many years and held a major role in starting the fire department and ambulance service at Conneaut Lake.
Calling hours are today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Mark Sappenfield will officiate.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
