SPRINGBORO —
Lloyd R. Bean, 82, of North Hickernell Road, Springboro, passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 2, 1930, to the late Russell & Bessie Davis Bean.
He was a 1949 graduate of Springboro High School, where he played basketball.
On Sept. 23, 1950, he married Norma Jean Greenlee and she survives.
He was a retired dairy farmer; worked at Sealtest Milk until its closure in the 1960; and drove school bus for Hyde’s until 2005.
He enjoyed hunting, sports on TV, and watching his son’s stockcar racing.
Survivors include his wife, Norma, of Springboro; a daughter, Sandra Yurcak and her husband, Andrew, of Cambridge Springs; a son, Tom Bean and his financee, Debbie Dupont, of Cochranton; grandchildren, Christopher (Crystal) Bean, Jaime (Jason) Miller, Matthew Dupont, Stephanie (Scott) Zilhaver, Theresa (Ron) Wade, Amanda (Scott) Choura, and Laura (Josh) Tucci; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jayden, Alexander, Lydia, Sierra, Jameson, Ryle, Arriana, McKayla, Sydney, Madison, Christian, Morgan, Owen, Austin and Isla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Roland Bean.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hickernell United Methodist Church, 12048 Springboro Road, Springboro, with Pastor Robert Trask officiating.
Interment will be in Spring Cemetery.
