GREENVILLE —
Mary Fern Iliff of 110 Fredonia Road, Greenville (Hempfield Township), formerly of Quinter Road, Hadley, passed away at 8:57 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the White Cliff Nursing Home. She was 95.
She was born Oct. 24, 1916, in Salem Township, Mercer County, a daughter of the late Henry and Laura (Davison) Hoobler. She married Clarence Martin Iliff. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1965.
She was a homemaker and a member of North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church, Greenville.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Gregory and her husband, Reese, of Hadley; two sons, Donald Iliff and his wife, Paula, of Conneautville, and Richard Iliff and his wife, Martha, of Transfer; six grandchildren, Philip Iliff of Atlantic, Esther Sue Adams and her husband, Ernie, of Hartstown, Ed Iliff and his wife, Sherry, of Atlantic, Cheryl Weikel and her husband, Wade, of Greenville, Sheila Gregory of Hadley, and Aaron Gregory of Greenville; six great-grandchildren, William Weikel, Amanda Weikel, Mathew Adams, Mark Adams, Nathan Adams and Steven Amrhein; and four great-great-grandchildren.
During her stay at the White Cliff Nursing Home, Fern, as she was known to her family and friends, appreciated the friendship and companionship she was able to develop with her dear roommate, Donna Mallin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert M. Iliff; three sisters, Eva Pressler, Gladys Hoobler and Olive Armour; and two brothers, Paul Hoobler and Clarence (Joe) Hoobler.
Funeral and committal service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home Ltd., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, with the Rev. Michael D. Marshall, pastor of North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Stevenson Cemetery, Salem Township.
