June Elizabeth Consla

MEADVILLE — June Elizabeth Consla, 86, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born May 21, 1926, on the outskirts of Cochranton, a daughter of James Ernest Hays and Sarah Clark Hays. She married William Walter Consla  Sr. on July 6, 1952; he preceded her in death July 1, 2004.

She worked at both Hetrex and Talon until she retired at the age of 62. She sold Tri-Chem for several years during her retirement.

June enjoyed raising Pomeranian dogs, painting shirts for friends and family, reading, going out to dinner, garage sales, rides in the country, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Dick Consla  and his wife, Sandy, of Saegertown, Gary Consla  of Albion, Nancy Hegyi and her husband, Robert, of Saegertown, Darla Olson and her husband, Charles, of Price Frederick, Md., Walter Consla  Jr. of Meadville, and Sara Consla  of Meadville; a sister, Ethel Partridge of Sandy Lake; two brothers, Everette Hays and his wife, Kathryn, of Cochranton, and Don Hays of Sheakleyville; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband, William, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janice Smith; a sister, May McQuiston and her husband, Robert; three brothers, Merle Hayes and his wife, Evelyne, Harry Hays and his wife Frances, and Sam Hays and his wife, Leora; a grandson, William Walter Consla  III; and a granddaughter, Patty Consla.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday from noon to 3 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral will follow calling hours at the funeral home at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Fuller, pastor of Littles Corners United Methodist Church, officiating.

The committal service and burial will follow in St.

 Brigid Cemetery, Meadville.

Memorial donations may be made in June’s memory to Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
