TITUSVILLE —
Helen J. Troxell, 91, of 227 Water St., Titusville, (Billie Brown Building), died Sunday morning, Oct. 7, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Titusville.
She was born Oct. 16, 1920, in East Brady, a daughter of the late Charles and Ora Fox Burns. She married Irvin E. (Shorty) Troxell April 29, 1949, in Big Run. He preceded her in death April 10, 1993. She was previously married to Lawrence G. Webber.
She had attended Oil City schools.
She had attended the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church. She currently was attending the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church.
She enjoyed quilting, playing games, going to the local Christmas auction, and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Hunt and husband, Charles, of Pleasantville, Gladys Brenizer and husband, John, of Townville, and Dorothy Waychoff of Centerville; two sons, Laurince Roy Webber and wife, Janet, of Titusville and Robert Richard Webber and wife, Alta, of Meadville; a son-in-law, Arden Rice of Saegertown; a step-daughter, Ilene Rice and husband, Don, of Centerville; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Hulings of Meadville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Irvin E. Troxell Jr.; two daughters, Helen Margaret Webber and Virginia Rice; two great-grandchildren, Bridget Fleming and Domenic Phillips; three brothers, Ira Burns, William Burns, and Charles Robert Burns; and three sisters, Gracie Burns, Elnora Merryman, and Margaret Lendrum.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Clarence Mayhle, pastor of the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Titusville.
