ERIE —
Anne Sacco, 87, of 5515 Peach St., Erie, formerly of Reash Church Road, Cochranton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Millcreek Manor, Erie.
Anne was born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 6, 1925, a daughter of the late Michael and Ann Folenta Benyo. On Oct. 19, 1948, Anne married Joseph R. Sacco Sr.; he preceded her in death on June 28, 1991.
She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.
A dedicated homemaker, Anne took pleasure in raising her family. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and doing crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Ann is survived by two sons, Donald F. Sacco and his wife, Barbara, and Joseph R. Sacco Jr. and his wife, Nancy, all of Cochranton; a daughter, Janis Fox of Erie; seven grandchildren, Michael Sacco and his wife, Rhiannon, Matthew Sacco and his wife, Karen, Donald Sacco Jr., Joe (JR) Sacco, Jennifer Lee Pitner and her husband, Dan, Andrew Fox and Christopher Fox; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Benyo and Agnes Yuhas, both of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Joseph, of 48 years, Anne was preceded in death by a brother, John Benyo; and a sister, Dorothy Jessee.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a scripture service will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Father Johnathan Schmolt, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery.
