MEADVILLE —
Anna M. Rinkacs Thomas, 97, of Tamarac, Fla., and Meadville, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Meadville.
She was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Lorincz Rinkacs; wife of the late Rudolf “Boots” Thomas; mother of Eileen (Raymond) Smith of Tamarac and Marilyn (the late Anthony) Boca of Meadville; grandmother of Daniel Smith, Gregory (Jackie) Smith, Tony (Darla) Boca and Stacie (Tracy) Boca-Singletary; sister of Mary Szabo of West Mifflin; and also had nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Julie Rathi; and brothers, Stephen and Joseph Rinkacs.
Anna and her husband owned and operated Rudy’s Blue Star Lounge in Meadville from 1950 to 1972.
She was a former member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Duquesne, St. Agatha in Meadville and St. Malachy in Tamarac.
Friends will be received at Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, 212 Wilmot St., Duquesne, on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m.
A funeral blessing will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at Holy Name Church, with the Rev. Dennis Colamarino as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.

He was born in Oil City, May 1, 1959, a son of Raymond J. and Marian E. Nuhfer Conaway. He married Laura S. Burchard, June 26, 1982, and she survives. -
