FRANKLIN —
Marie E. Adams Baker, 86, formerly of Utica, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Sugarcreek Station, Franklin.
Born Dec. 13, 1925, in Rocky Grove, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mable Hause Adams.
She was a 1944 graduate of Franklin High School.
After marriage and four children, she went to work at Polk Center, where she retired as a supervisor in 1986.
Marie enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, camping with her grandchildren, and researching the family history.
She is survived by three children, Michael Baker and his companion, Darleen Mazon, of Sandy Lake, Rebecca Seidel and her husband, Keith, of Cochranton, and Timothy Baker Sr. and his wife, Cindy, of Cochranton; nine grandchildren, Michael Baker, Mark Baker, Greg Baker and his wife, Windy, Stephanie Gregory and her husband, Sean, Timothy Baker and his wife, Amanda, Melissa Baker and her companion, Keith, Christine Ongley and her husband, Ryan, Katie and Natilee; 13 great-grandchildren, Clifton, Matthew, Hannah, Andrew, Taylor, Takoda, Branden, Becca, Gabriel, Katalina, Chloe, Kinley and Kurt; five brothers, Earl, Robert, Harold, Paul and Jack Adams; and three sisters, Ruth Eakin, Linda Cochran and Judy Bunce.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Freeman O. Baker Jr.; a brother, George (Bill) Adams; a sister, Betty Hanna; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St., Franklin. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Adams, senior pastor at Abundant Life Fellowship Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
