SAEGERTOWN —
Kathryn Marie Amy, 74, of Mitchell Road, Saegertown, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012.
She was born in Meadville on July 24, 1938, a daughter of Kenneth Smith Sr. and Beatrice DeVillars Smith. She married Harold R. Amy on Jan. 9, 1960; he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2010.
She attended Meadville High School. She had worked at GTI in Saegertown, Kerr’s Jewelry in Meadville, Dahlkemper’s in Meadville, Joann Fabrics in Meadville and AVI Foods in Meadville.
She was a member of the WCCUSBCA for many years.
She is survived by three children, Raymond H. Amy and his wife, Kelly, of Deland, Fla., Michael T. Amy and his wife, Elizabeth, of Saegertown, and Teresa M. Reynolds and her husband, Russell V., of Saegertown; two grandchildren, Ryan Reynolds and Jaxon Amy; a sister, Margaret Cotterman of Meadville; and two brothers, Kenneth Smith Jr. of York Haven and James Smith of Wilson, N.C.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Meadville, Pamela Sauers of Saegertown and Heartfelt Home Healthcare of Meadville for all of their help and support.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, with a funeral service to follow at 8 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Marshall Lillie of Hospice of Meadville.
