LINESVILLE — Glenn M. Shellito Sr., 98, of Linesville, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born Jan. 4, 1915, in Linesville, he was a son of Charles and Eleanor Mae Murray Shellito. He married Louise Braswell on March 10, 1936; she preceded him in death Oct. 22, 2007.

He was a member of Linesville United Methodist Church.

Glenn graduated from high school in Longwood, Fla.

Most of his life, he worked as bricklayer and had helped build many buildings in the area. For several years starting in 1947, he was co-owner of the supermarket in Linesville called the Automarket.

Glenn was a member of the bricklayers union Local 87 in Meadville. He enjoyed fishing and playing the violin. He had played the violin in the Philharmonic Orchestra in Orlando, Fla.

Survivors include two sons, Glenn Shellito Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Linesville, and Charles Shellito and his wife, Joan, of Brunswick, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Mark Shellito of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Julie Parsons and her husband, Dennis, of St. Mary’s, Ga., Kelli Leech and her husband, Charles, of Conneaut Lake, Michael Shellito and his wife, Evelyne, of Burlington, Vt., Shawn Shellito and his wife, Rebecca, of Hampton Falls, N.H., Wendy Krembs and her husband, Jesse, of Burlington, and Kerry Shellito and his wife, Jennifer, of Ruskin, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Private calling hours will be held.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 28 at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville, with the Rev. Dennis Lawton of Linesville United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter, 110 W. 10th St., Suite 212, Erie, Pa. 16501.
