CONNEAUTVILLE —
Wanda Lee Highhouse, 79, formerly of Conneaut Lake, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Rolling Fields, Conneautville.
She was born Feb. 26, 1934, in Warren, a daughter of Stewart and Martha Goetz Highhouse.
Wanda worked for the G.C. Murphy Company in Meadville for several years and subsequently was employed by Singer-Heatrex in Meadville for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, painting, dancing and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Ann Highhouse of Tampa, Fla.; a son, James Marhoefer of Saegertown; a twin brother, Stewart James Highhouse Jr. of Bellflower, Calif.; a sister, Linda Bervinkle and her husband, William, of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren, Amber and Bobby Hicks of Florida and Amanda, Elona, Shaunna and Jimmy Marhoefer of Pennsylvania; a great-grandson, Jonathen Ray Crespo of Florida; an aunt whom she thought of like a sister, Phyllis Amolsch of Conneaut Lake; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, including her grandmother, Irene Goetz of Conneaut Lake.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at the convenience of the family at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville.
Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
