LINESVILLE — Rose Sophie White, 83, of Linesville, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 15, 1929, in Conneautville, a daughter of John Joseph and Zofia Przybyszewska Smolinski. She married Adam White on Nov. 9, 1946, and he preceded her in death Oct. 17, 1992.

Rose was a homemaker and had worked at St. Philip Church, Linesville.

A woman of strong faith, she was a member of St. Brigid Church and St. Philip Church and their Altar Rosary societies. She was truly a saint and was always there for her family. Rose was wise and loving and she was a blessing to the lives of her family and friends.

Survivors include five children, David White and his wife, Vicki, of Conneaut Lake, Jackie Kaspick and her husband, Paul, of Denham Springs, La., Joyce Powell and her husband, Robert, of Cody, Wyo., James White of Meadville and Christopher White of Linesville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Leszek of Meadville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Urbanick; and two brothers, Joseph and Edward Smolinski.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake, with a prayer vigil at 5:45 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth St., Conneaut Lake, with Father Steve Anderson as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
