CARRIERE, Miss. —
Memorial services for Dorothy Mae Minnis, 94, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home, 401 W. Canal St., Picayune, Miss.
A native of Meadville, she was a registered nurse in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during World War II. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George H. Messerall and Luella Lang Messerall; her husband, Lawrence Minnis; and her daughter, Patricia Minnis.
Survivors include her son, Bruce Minnis and Shelly Wurtzinger of Carriere; her grandchildren, Shawn Minnis and his wife, Melissa, Jacqueline Hetrick and Grady Minnis; and her great-grandchildren, Jane Hetrick, Sam Hetrick and Mia Lally.
