Geraldine Mae Bradish

MEADVILLE —

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend, Geraldine Mae Bradish, 90, passed away at Wesbury Grace Health Center, Meadville, on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, where she resided for the past 11 years.

A lifelong resident of Meadville, Mae Bradish was born in Meadville on June 4, 1922, a daughter of Dominic and Agatha Petruso.

She is survived by a son, Frank W. Bradish Jr., and his wife, Patricia, of Kingsville, Ohio; a daughter, Carol Hegedus of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Catherine Kase and her husband, Fred, of Hendersonville, N.C.; a son, Robert Bradish and his wife, Bonnie, of Cambridge Springs; four sisters, Madeline Trotter and her husband, Richard, of Pacific Grove, Calif., Anne Diemer of Bowie, Md., Mary Betz of Meadville, and Agnes Ritchey and her husband Thomas of Meadville; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Frank W. Bradish, in 1991; a brother, Joseph Petruso of Meadville, a sister, Fannie Hernandez of Meadville, and a granddaughter, Kimberly Kase of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was deeply devoted to her family, and for many years fulfilled the maternal role of homemaker, wife and mother; as well as, dedicating 24 years of service as a clerk for Kroger store in Meadville, retiring in 1980. She loved to spend time in her rose garden and was always proud of maintaining a finely landscaped property. She inherited from her mother a love of cooking and will always be remembered in her recipes.

She was a lifelong member of Saint Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Meadville.

She will be missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to the Wesbury Foundation, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, Pa, 16335; or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 327 Eighth Ave., Seventh Floor, New York, N.Y. 10001.

Calling hours for family and friends will be on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Father Matthew Kujawinski as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.

A luncheon reception will be held at the recreation center of Saint Mary of Grace Church following interment.
