SAEGERTOWN —
David H. Titus, 64, a resident of Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center, Liberty Street, following a period of declining health.
David was born in Grove City on Oct. 11, 1948, a son of the late Nelson and Florence Hutcheson Titus.
He had retired from the Meadville Division of Amcast, now known as Advanced Cast. He had previously been employed by the Hodge Foundry, Greenville.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville, where he had served as a deacon and also enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a member of the Crawford County Fire Police and the Yesterday’s Sounds barbershop chorus. David was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, possessed a passion for singing, especially with the Yesterday’s Sounds, and faithfully would attend church as his health would allow.
David is survived by a son, Brian Titus and his wife, Nicky, of Madison, Fla.; a daughter, Joyce Spriggs and her husband, James, of Nashville, Tenn.; his former wife, Louise Hanna; a sister, Carol Walker of Cochranton; and four grandchildren, Amber, Kayla, Lillian and Garrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Denver Titus.
It was David’s request that no visitation or services be held.
The interment will be at Hadley Cemetery.
