COCHRANTON —
Harold E. (Huck) Rough, 71, of Cochranton, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at his residence following a six-year illness.
Born May 3, 1941, in Deckards, he was the son of Richard M. and Grace E. Slingluff Rough. He married Beatrice A. White on April 14, 1962, and she survives.
He was a 1959 graduate of Cochranton High School and served in the U.S. National Guard from 1960 to1966.
From 1962 until his retirement in 2000, he was a toolmaker for Coinco, GTI and Talbar tool companies.
He was a member of Cochranton United Methodist Church, the French Creek Valley Antique Club, and a lifetime member of the Black Ash Sportmen’s Club. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and restoring Cub Cadet tractors and for more than 40 years he was an avid model airplane enthusiast.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 50 years, include two sons, Jeffrey L. Rough and his wife, Linda, of Carlton, and Douglas H. Rough and his companion, Lori, of Meadville; a brother, Merle L. Rough and his wife, Martha Jane, of Amisville, Va.; two grandsons, Joseph Rough and Trystan Rough; and a great-granddaughter, Grace Rough.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Spencer of Cochranton United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Peters Cemetery.
The family ask that memorials be made to Crawford County Hospice, 464 Pine St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.
