MEADVILLE TRIBUNE

SAEGERTOWN — SAEGERTOWN — Leah H. LeComte, 94, formerly of Meadville, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

She was born March 3, 1916, in New Brighton, a daughter of George H. and Pearl E. Park Hazeltine. The family moved to the Linesville area in the 1920s. She married Elmer A. LeComte. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1981. She previously was married to Ralph F. Douglass.

She retired from Talon, a Division of Textron, in June 1979.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Meadville and was active in the church’s Love Circle.

She was a former member of the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary, the Bird and Tree Club, two card clubs and the Linesville Sunshine Club. She also enjoyed quilting and needle point, button collecting and postcard collecting.

Survivors include three sons, Wilfred Douglass and his wife, Mildred, of Meadville, Thomas Douglass and his wife, Rita, of Meadville, and John Douglass and his wife, Alice, of Monroe, N.C.; a daughter: Donna Stolich and her husband, Robert, of Watsonville, Calif.; a brother, George P. Hazeltine of Saegertown; six grandchildren, Lynn Wise, Michael Douglass and his wife, Tabitha, Aaron Douglass, Amy Douglass and her husband, Scott Vance, Sandra Stolich and her husband, Brack Zollo, and Mark Stolich; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth J. Owens; and a stepson, Elmer L. (Bud) LeComte.

Calling hour will be Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 4 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, with the Rev. Kate Irish Filer of First Presbyterian Church of Meadville officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
